In many organisations it is likely that the cost of employing a full time DBA for the AGRESSO system may not be viable. This service provides the means to utilise AGRESSO DBA resources on a part time daily basis.

The remote AGRESSO DBA service will provide essential database checks and maintenance on a daily basis (Monday – Friday). This will ensure that the system is running optimally and will also provide advanced backup and restore policies which would minimize any data loss in the event of hardware failures.

Many systems run substantially slower than they should. This is because there is no dedicated AGRESSO DBA and therefore no database optimisation work is ever carried out. However, a lot of this work cannot be done while the system is in use. This is usually because that when the work is being carried out, the performance and responsiveness of the system would be compromised to too great a degree. The remote AGESSO DBA service can carry out these types of tasks while the system is not being used. This would typically be in the evening or at the weekend.
